Hi-Q
Shocks that were charged but not fitted

Cars & Transport

On the 27th Dec 2012, I took my car a BMW 320i Sports to Hi-Q Old Main Road in Pinetown, to have all my shocks checked. I was informed that the rear shocks were worn out, I then paid the price I was qouted to have them replace and left. I was later called to come and collect my car. After leaving the centre, I realised that the car was still wobbly, and I took it back to Hi-Q, and one of the technicians took it for a ride and concurred that it was not stable. I left as they were adamant that the shocks were fine, I then realised after a few days that the car was becoming dangerous to use and it felt like it was driving on one shock at the back. I then took it for a check up at the Hi-Q Newcastle branch and the discovered that one of the shocks is worn out and is broken and the other one looks new. I then logged a complaint with Pinetown but was told that they had fitted two new shocks and they even have it on video footage. I therefore demand compensation as well as an apology from the fitment centre as this has put me and my family is great danger.
