Today we hired a vehicle for 3 hours. It was driven - 160km and returned.
We was informed that there was a chip, and therefore they were not refunding
the R 1500.00
This is absolute rubbish, he was not given the opportunity to inspect the
vehicle prior to leaving.
Documentation was to sign and he went on his way. On his return the
person seemed to know exactly where the "CHIP" was.
How can you justify a "CHIP" costing R 1500.00 to repair.
At best R200.00 for a "CHIP". He was late for his flight and could not waste
time arguing so he signed and ran, at that time they were already calling
last call.
He was given NO documentation. I think there is a problem here, we intend on
taking this matter to court if we must.
I thought Avis was a reputable company but they are just too.
I tried calling the PE branch, the line just goes dead when you select
option 2
We will also be contacting card division to dispute the matter.
The car had burn holes in the seat, white paint on the front and he gets
accused of a tiny chip.

Our customer in PE kindly said he would refund the R 1500.00 but it only
through his kindness that Mr Schwark's bond will
