I sent my Toyota DC 3.0 in for a 60K service, my aircon was not running as cool as it was normally so I asked for them to check it out as I suspected a re-gass was needed. Later that day got a call from the service advisor to inform me the aircon compressor needs to be replaced at a cost of R 7000-00, out of warranty. I told them to continue and just do the service and leave the aircon issue for now. So a while later I check out who does Toyota aftermarket aircons and I take my vehicle there for them to check the entire aircon system out... turns out all that was required was a re-gass, which they did, at R 350-00, the aircon has been working great since then, which is 2 months. So I phoned CMH Toyota Melrose and spoke to the service manager, he said he was surprised as this is an isolated case and would need to get the records and follow up with me, 2 weeks later I have had no one from CMH Toyota call me, so I called to speak to the dealer principal, I had to leave a message. I still have not received a call from the dealer head, I guess my case is not so isolated as it seams like I'm just another customer to sweap under the carpet, I guess NOT. This will be sent to Toyota HQ.
