CREDIT CARD DEBITED WITHOUT AUTHORISATION

Rented a vehicle from Avis through my insurance- 30 days. My insurer delayed claim, and as a result, I requested extension of the rental. Lizette from Avis advised that she would arrange it with Forbes & Car Sure. Never heard a word further, until 3 weeks later, when I was informed it hadn't been authorised for extension. NOT MY FAULT- MISCOMMUNICATION BETWEEN AVIS / FORBES / CAR SURE. Upon returning the vehicle in December 2013, damage inspection was done, and no damage reported. I signed for return of the vehicle. 30 minutes later, a debit on credit card made (assuming its for car hire)!!! I never signed for this, nor did I agree to debit the credit card, no breakdown given for charge made and THIS IS REQUIRED IN TERMS OF THE CONSUMER PROTECTION ACT. Since then, it has been like trying to tap a stone for water for info. I insist that this charge be reversed by close of business today, failing which, I will institute legal proceedings. I am working well within my rights- this I would know as I am a legal professional, having worked in a banking environment with SARB, as well as a Senior Legal Advisor for an insurance company.
