No parts available

Cars & Transport

Firstly I would like to apologize to BMW if my insurer (dial direct) and their authorized BMW repairer are passing the buck. My E90 320d BMW was involved in a minor accident on the 13-11-2012 and now almost 3 months later!!! I am still waiting for my vehicle to be completed. Both my insurer and the repairer are saying the hold up is on BMW's side with availablity of the parts that are needed, on a newer model 3 series BMW? This is the first BMW I have owned and I am very disappionted as I have owned and driven Merc's and Audi's without any parts delays ever, even an electrical control box for a multitronic gearbox for my Audi was ordered and delivered from Germany in two days. I really feel like warning family and friends who are considering purchasing a BMW that if something were to happen to that vehicle that they may have to wait weeks or months before the vehicle is repaired. I would love to get a response from BMW head office concerning this matter as customers are placing more value on after sales service than brand name before purchasing new or pre-approved vehicles.
