Value Truck Rental
Took 19 Days to get my money back & no hire!

I was going to hire a truck from George branch to help with my move. Telephonically, they took R3000 off my credit card as a 'deposit'. A friend was able to help so didn't need to hire & cancelled the order - have never even been into Value's offices?

It has taken until today to get my R3000 deposit back!!! 19 days for something I didn't even 'buy". When I phoned their offices late last year, I was told that the signatory on the account was away so it could only be done on 2nd Jan. Payment came through only this morning.

As I private person, I cannot afford to have R3000 off my account for services I didn't even use. When I called my bank (FNB) I was advised that they (Value) simply had to phone & reverse/cancel the amount as soon as I had cancelled the order.

After much chasing & phoning, I simply got "the banks say it can take 7 - 9 days to clear' from them. Clearly, it's not their money so why should they care? They were not short with no money for groceries, petrol, etc.

Very bad form. Very bad indeed. BTW, I hired a car from Europcar on 22nd Dec - my bill & refund were done by 30th Dec. Just to compare.

Shame on you, no-Value-at-all!!!
