Bad weather to blame for fuel consumption increase

Cars & Transport

Bought my car in Midrand and had it serviced in Midrand - Service excellent. Unfortunately Midrand was closed. Sandton had a 2 week waiting list and Northcliff don't service Mitsubishi as they don't have spares... Roodepoort - unfortunately do. Took my car in and asked if I could wait. Over 4 hours later my car was ready. Drove off and it wasn't the same car I took in. Drove around for 70 kilometers, no improvement. Fuel consumption before service around 7, 8 after 9, 2. I took my car back. Service manager not in. Workshop manager had me wait while he faffed around. Came in with more arrogance than was believable. Apparently it was because of the weather that the fuel consumption is so high. 45000km is service is only an oil change -which took 4 hours? I couldn't believe the nonsense he was spouting. Now I struggle to get 600 from a tank, before I easily got 740 from a tank. Someone phoned to find out if I was happy with the service - the answer was NO. A member of management would phone - weeks later and nothing. It is obvious Mitsubishi doesn't care. Now I have a car running so expensive the best thing to do is sell it.
