I'm the owner of a Disco 4, my primary turbo blew but fortunately my vehicle is still under warranty and LR has agreed to repair - that is the good news!

The bad news - even though LR has had the vehicle for over a week, I have been informed that the part is on back order - to cut to the chase, the vehicle will only be repaired in 2014 - when exactly, no one will commit.

But wait... remember that wonderful value added service that was offered when you purchased this very expensive vehicle, the one where LR say they will arrange a loan vehicle for you to use!

This service is contracted out to an external company and although LR did arrange for a loan vehicle, what they fail to tell you is that there is a clause that you need to sign agreeing that you are prepared to pay 12% OF THE PURCHASE VALUE OF A NEW REPLACEMENT VEHICLE SHOULD THE CAR GET, that equates to almost R100, 000 as an excess, this is over and above the R6, 000 excess that you are expected to pay if the vehicle gets damaged.

LR told me that unfortunately those are the T&Cs... exactly how is this in the customers best interest?
I wonder if LR management would be prepared to accept these T&Cs on a personal basis?
