Failure to fix the fault but add another one

Cars & Transport

I recently took my daughter's Kia Rio to Kia Northcliff. The car cuts out randomly and will not start again for up to 30 minutes. After 2 days, my daughter was told that the on board computer had not recorded a problem and the fault had not occurred with them. My daughter was asked to keep driving the car and when it next cuts out, to then get the car to Kia Northcliff while the problem is still evident. Remembering that it normally starts again within half an hour, this suggestion was ludicrous since it can't be driven when it won't start and getting it towed to Kia Northcliff within 30 minutes is almost impossible.

When the car was collected it was found that the radio/CD was no longer working. The service desk fobbed us off saying that they didn't touch the radio. I took the car back. They had a look and said there was nothing they could do - the radio was faulty. I eventually found a reset button which solved the problem. When I asked if the car could be traded in, I was told that it could not since it had the "cutting out" problem - which they could not fix!!

This is the short story. I found it frustrating and annoying dealing with Kia Northcliff and won't ever go back.
