BEWARE OF USING A CHEQUE CARD FOR CARD RENTAL

When you use a company cheq card to secure your rental car beware that the entire hold amount is immediately deducted from your account.
You should obtain a refund once you have returned your car but make sure you check your accounts!!
When I queried why I didn't receive a refund for a car used on 9th October 2013 after having had R 2000.00 deducted from my account, I was advised that some company details were missing from the system (despite me having provided them when I collected the car).
So if I hadn't identified that Europe Car still owed me money - how long would they have taken to contact me? it has already been more than 7 weeks.
Have spoken to the Manager who has resolved to sort it out but I am not impressed.
