Over a month and still no refund

On 26th Dec 2012 I hired a car for my fianc? at Europcar OR Tambo, he returned the car at Braamfontein office on the 29th Dec 2012. In the beginning of January I received a call from Sidney from the Braamfontein office informing me that the car that returned was damaged. I informed him that I was in CPT and the driver of the Car was also in DBN. My fianc? on his return from DBN went to see Sidney to understand what the issue was it was agreed that the car was given to him in that state, more importantly that when we took there car no checks were done. So all was sorted, it's been over a month since the car was returned and I still haven't received my deposit or the refund. My fianc? visited Sidney on the 30th Jan and he received no clear information on exactly what the problem might be, also it is still not clear on when will we receive the refund.
