No airbags on Navara

I was involved in an accident on the 13th of October in Nissan Navara, where I rear-ended a Discovery 4. We had our safety belts on and although the front damage were about R178000 (according the insurance assessor), no one at Nissan is willing to explain why the airbags did not deploy. I had my car written off. I have emailed and even approached the stand at JIMS but no one can point to me a brand manager to explain to me why was my family put at such risk in an 8 month-old car. This is not only an inconvenience but also scary to imagine that these bulky cars can fail so dismally. I have even told the people at the stand that I have pictures to show but no one wants to give me an explanation. I will never drive another Nissan in my life, I choose to walk. I have done my bit but I will never touch another Nissan or allow anyone I know to buy it. How disappointing!!
