On the 20th Sept 2013, I hired a VW Polo with the said service provider for 4 days till the 24th Sept 2013 using my FNB Platinum Cheque account. Upon collection of the car, my account was debited R2341.05 by Avis with another R1 debited off my account for authorisation. On the 24th Sept 2013, I extended my booking for another 2 days and only on the 26th Sept 2013, my account was debited with a further R686.04 by Avis (incompetence of front desk staff for debiting late is clearly show by this act). On the same day of the 26th Sept 2013, I requested to keep the car till the 30th Sept 2013 with a further R1164.22 been debited off my account.

On the 30th Sept 2013, I returned the car to Avis with a full tank to the Bloemfontein Airport branch & collected an invoice of R3990. On the 4th Oct 2013, Avis debited my account AGAIN with R3990. To date, I have been trying in vain to get my R4192.31 (R2341.05 R686.04 R1 R1164.22) refunded to me. Its 14 days later (2 weeks) and Avil, the manager, is sending me from pillar to post with one excuse after the other.

I am advised by my lawyers to open a case of against Avis. This is unacceptable levels of service.
