I purchased a brand new Java 170cc scooter in August from the Montague Gardens branch in Cape Town. After I brought the bike home for the first time, I noticed there was a huge vibration on the bike. I discovered that the rear rim was buckled and that there was a problem with the front brakes. The rim was replaced but noting were done to the brakes, so I decided to leave it until the first service.
On the 16th October I took the bike in for the service, pointing out to them about the brakes that caused problems. An HOUR later Cedric phoned me to say that the bike is fixed and ready for collection. I asked him on the phone if the brakes were fixed and he said yes. When I got there the brakes was exactly the same.(The front disk is whopped.) The bike was dirty as! For R450 for the service, they could have taken a cloth and just wipe it off, never the less. I demonstrated several times to him and the mechanic what the problem was, but the mechanic said he cant find the problem. I left the bike there and demanded it must be fixed and delivered to my house.
I really think Cedric doesn't do his job as manager, and that the so called mechanic is seriously incompetent.
