Used to be a die hard fan - NOT SO MUCH ANYMORE

Cars & Transport

I own 2 delivery vehicles, a T5 VW transporter, and a H100 hyundai dropside. When the time came in 2012 to look at a new vehicle after experiencing problems with our 2006 Hyunadai H100 i wanted to go bigger and better and managed to convince myself that the quality and reliability of a VW by far exceeds that of Hyundai. I must admit that although the last stages of the H100 proved expensive and troublesome it only came after 6 years of hard work and over 250 000Km. My Transporter on the other hand broke down in january this year and was only repaired in May 2013 with only 30 000 something km's. this was the 2nd time i had to repair. I blamed my driver for the clutch needing to be replaced only 3 months old but the design of the commercial vehicle makes getting stuck in mud and loose sand on construction sites very easy to do and the most experienced driver nervous about wearing the clutch down trying to get out. So 5 months later and its the CV joints, but this time i am informed that the repairs can only be done by a single dealership in kzn and that the parts will only be delivered 1 week after booking in the vehicle and who knows when the vehicle would be ready. thank for my H100
