DHL MISLEAD THE PUBLIC, RIP OFF. USE ALT COURIER

I have called DHL on this number 0860 345 000 only to have the phone DROPPED by DHL twice! i then decided to email them on their SUGGESTED email address: [Email Removed] to which NO ONE BOTHERED REPLYING - except i received a read-receipt saying that the email was deleted without being READ -

My twin sister sent over a gift for me from the UK - when sending the gift not only did she pay a hefty amount to send it with insurance etc - BUT now DHL Express South Africa are charging me (THE RECIPIENT OF THE GIFT) around R 1200 - {with a R150 disbursement fee} apparently these are duties levied on the gift - WOW. Ok - so now because I'm NOT WILLING TO PAY THAT MUCH money to clear the gistb - i would like to have the item sent back WHICH IS GOING TO NOW COST, I QUOTE: between R2500 and R3500.00 - WOW DHL - you are really ripping off your clients by NOT INFORMING SENDERS OF NOT EVEN AN ESTIMATE that the recipient will have to pay - you MISGUIDED the sender by not telling her that there may be more duties once sent - then because we want to return it to the sender - its even heftier than the amount it cost to send it to the original destination. WHAT A RIP OFF!
