Bad customer care

Cars & Transport

I submitted a formal complaint to Nissan Customer Care on Tuesday, 08/10/2013, to the Dealer Principal yesterday, 09/10/2013 with regard to the following and have not yet received a response.
I have requested a replacement of the defective vehicle or a full refund of the purchase price in terms of Sections 20, 55 and 56 of the Consumer Protection Act.
o I purchased a new vehicle (Nissan Juke) from Nissan Bruma in June 2013
o In July 2013, I took the vehicle into McCarthy Nissan Woodmead due to the engine warning light coming on.
o McCarthy Nissan Woodmead together with the assistance of Nissan SA identified the error as being a defective computer box.
o Nissan undertook to order a new replacement computer box and install it in the vehicle. This was completed on Friday, 27 September and I was notified that I could collect my car.
o Immediately the next morning the same engine warning light came on again and I took the vehicle back to McCarthy Nissan Woodmead on the morning of Monday, 30 September.

I will be laying a formal complaint with Motor Industry Ombudsman SA if I do not receive a response within the next 2 days
