RELOCATING? Do not use Stuttaford van lines

I recently relocated from Durban to Johannesburg, I choose "Stuttaford Van Lines" and their insurance which cost and arm and a leg (R7xxx for R200k). However when most of my furniture reached Johannesburg they were either soiled or damaged. We lodged a claim, oh my, it's been 4 months and we are still having to chase the insurers around. We are now dealing with the insurers directly, who are in no hurry to resolve my claim. Further to this, we paid for a certain amount of cover, we then completed a schedule detailing each item and the value. Now we are being told that because the "packers" from Stuttaford van lines did not mention this item in their inventory means they will not pay for the repairs. I have dealt with many insurers over the years and as a result know when I'm being shafted. Whilst I deal with this shady insurance company (Trey International) Stuttaford van lines is now nowhere to be found... you trust a big name company to move your belongings... they move it, damage it and then make another company tell you to get lost.
