CV Joints Repai

On 3/6/2013 I repaired my CV joints at the Centurion branch. My car broke down and was towed in to my nearest service station today. They found that the R outer CV joint that was replaced on 3/6/13 broke again. I still have a guarantee on the work but now they want me to tow my car to them on my cost that will be R1500 about the same amount too replace the CV joint at the garage closer to home. Why do I have guarantee if it has now value and means nothing.
