Car Service City
Paying A High Price For Bad Service

Cars & Transport

On 17 October 2013 I was quoted R1135.97 for service on my opel astra. The next day I took the car in and after their analysis, there was a raft of things that were faulty and needed to be replaced or repaired. Needless to say, since I needed my car to be good order I consented to the repairs and a day later paid an amount of R9138.20.

Two days later, the car overheated a pipe burst and we stucked. When contacting Lea Meiring, I was told to bring the car in. My question to her was, how can I drive a car that overheats? Eventually she was forced to send her mechanics, who blamed us. When asked whether the cambelt that was replaced runs around the water pump which was linked to the pipe that broke their answer was no.

Lea informed me that the suppliers had no replacement parts and the pipe would only be replaced within 3/4 days. I told her that I have found a replacement part and they could replace it. She came up with loads of excuses. Annie apologised and promised to send her main mechanic, it never happened. Today, the engine leaks oil, the water pump is noisy and the brakes are screaming (supposed to be new front and rear breaks)
Emails to them returns undelivered.
