Problem with flywheel

My Amarok bakkie's flywheel had to been replaced after 55000 km? This was a shock to me. All I am asking is: Must I keep this bakkie? Is this going to happen again @ 100000 km? Is this a defect on the Amarok? I do not get any assistance or advice from Volkswagen. (It is a 2011 Amarok double cab 4 motion.) Are there other Amarok drivers out there who had the same problem?
