I took delivery of my VW Polo Vivo 1.4 on the 16th of Feb 2013, that hasn't even had its first 15000km service has been into the workshop 3 times, twice for Engine mountings & now for Gearbox problems. On the 31st of August 2013 whilst driving I couldn't select any gears & broke down. I contacted my dealer & she escalated a call to the McCarthy Roadside assist, for more than an hour I wait & didn't get a call back. I'm then told to phone them myself which I did & that was another hour before a technician was dispatched. I was told the vehicle needed to be towed into McCarthy VW's workshop. I phoned my dealer who I couldn't get a hold of. I sent her a sms to which I had no response. I decided to speak to a Dealer Principal (DP), I was totally disgusted with the level of service received from the DP. At 13:38 I received a call from the dealer trying to apologise for my inconvenience and saying that this was the first VW she's sold that has had so many problems. Please note I am really unhappy with the vehicle and more so with the after sales service received. They have totally tarnished my confidence in VW altogether.
