Lexus South Africa
Lying Car dealers

Cars & Transport

I was offered R131k telephonically for my trade in, on a Lexus, which I accepted telephonically. After everything had been finalised either telephonically or by email (ID copy etc.), on 21 August 2013, delivery day, the banker arrived at my office to sign the HP agreement. Upon perusal I discovered that the trade in amount on the agreement was only R121k, as per the invoice from the dealer. I phoned Avesh who indicated that he had no idea how this error could have happened and that he would see what he could do. The banker suggested Avesh arrange to give me a cheque to the value of R10k, which he agreed to and I signed the contract.. Avesh phoned me later with a story, and that they could only pay R126k, which I declined. I phoned to speak to management which was not available. Dinesh later phoned and told me the same nonsense, adding that he had told Avesh they could not give me R131k, from the start. He phoned his director and later phoned me back denying having ever mentioned R131k to me and that he always had the number at R121k and had offered to add R5k to assist. I told him they were both liars and ended the conversation. BAD, BAD!!
