Audi Q5 Clutch and pressure plate melted instantly

My wife's Audi Q5 has 45 000 km, 2 days after the service driving on the highway she heard a bang. Car gearbox not able to engage so had the car towed in. The pressure plate was totally melted. Audi Vereeniging refuse to pay for a new clutch and pressure plate as they believe this to be caused by bad driving technique. The pressure plate has disintegrated from the heat, never before did we smell or have any clutch issues. If one rides the clutch you can surely smell that. I wish i could load the photos of the pressure and clutch plate, it is physically impossible to ride a car and create that amount of damage from bad driver technique.

And yet they refuse to pay for a faulty part or just bad workmanship when the service was done.
