Engine malfunction gears faulty cant find problem

I bought my Chery QQ3 TXE in Imperial Pinetown in Oct2011. This car is driven only by me in automatic transmission as it is the only gear that I am licenced to drive. The sales person (RM) told me that it was a demo model - 250 kms on the clock. I found out after the financing was finalized by the finance manager (SC) & signed for. RM asked me to sign forms regarding transfer of ownership & warranty. Only then did I find out that this car had a previous owner; the car was still sold to me at -R79999.00 not cheaper. (Obviously the total package is greater) I've had countless problems with this car; the slowness of take-off at the stop signs, the car chugging downhill, gears not changing on time when the rev count changes, changing gears - very noisy, and now finally 22000 km's later, there is an engine malfunction warning, and my car at dealership in Pntwn since Thurs 8/8/13, the QUALIFIED TECHNICIAN until this moment, cannot find the fault. Spoke to the service manager this morning; he is not sure when the fault will be found; technician told me late yest that a previous vehicle's problem took 3 weeks to be found. I've had to hire a car since Friday @ R428 a day (cheapest)
