Auto Aid
Five weeks to fix a gearbox!!

Cars & Transport

I was recommended by RMI to take my car to Auto Aid for a service because he is registered with them and that is a requirement of SA WARRANTIES who I am insured with. Larry took my car for a test drive and insisted that I have my car back first thing Monday morning so he can sort the problem out as soon as possible. 5 weeks later and Larry has not even written a report yet or submitted anything to SA WARRANTIES for approval to fix my gearbox!!! Everytime I phone Larry he has another excuse. First he blamed SA WARRANTIES for loosing his registration and said that he had to register again. I was very understanding and a week later I phoned to ask what was happening with my car and claim. He then told me that he is waiting for a part. The part was apparently very hard to find so we waited another week. As a single white female my logic tells me that if he is waithing for a part he has stripped that gearbox down and knows what is wrong with it, writing a report should then NOT be an issue!! Another TWO weeks later and NO REPORT HAS BEEN FILED!!! I have now been waiting for my car for FIVE WEEKS and NO end in sight, only promises, and condesention. I would like my car back, fixed
