I have a production facility runs 24hrs a day. I had a breakdown on a machine; the part was shipped from UK on Friday arrived in JHB and arrived on a Saturday. I was not notified about the part, I have not been notified of intended delivery as of yet. I dont have an account with UPS. Why have they not notified me with a COD payment yet- Wednesday?? It still needs to come to me in DBN. I have called and spoken with the staff who are incompetent to say the least- the usual- I'll call you back, we're chasing it up etc - this is just ridiculous. Its over 120hrs loss in production just because of their delay! Where is the sense of urgency from these people?
Their a courier company urgency should be their middle name.
I will never use UPS, for anything. Ever.
