In April 2012 we rented a car from Avis at the Cape Town International Airport. the car was unfortunately crushed in an accident with another car, rented from Europcars. We went and reporetd the matter to the nearest police station, the other prty was at fault. We also informed An=vis of the accident. a week after we have handed in the car Avis deducted R25 000 from our credit card. i called them to ask the reasons why and they replied by saying they waiting for Europcar to settle the claim, and Europe car is also waiting for its client to pay them. I asked them if they waiting for R15000 from Europcars why dont they pay me the R10 000 balance in the meantime, secondly I managed to get hold of the other party who faxed proof to show that she had paid R12 200 to Europcar, wich i then forwarded to Avis, the story that i then heard was that Europcars has a condition with its client to pay the first R15 000 to third partys claims. I do not think this has to affect me in anyway
