Nissan Product & After Sales Service Complaint

Cars & Transport

My Vehicle was bought new from 0KM. Nissan NP200 1.6 SE 16V bought a 120000km service plan with the vehicle for extra protection. I have had all my service intervals done on time by Nissan dealership. My car recently just went past 120000km, and at this point a noise came from my engine, i switched the car off and immediately booked my car in at the servicing agent Nash Nissan. They concluded that day the 18/6/2013, that my 'idle tensioner pulley bolt' had snapped and this has thrown timing out and therefore my entire engine needs to be redone. Today 16/7/2013, is a month later i still don't have my car back and have had to rent a vehicle to keep my job during this period. In addition to that Nash Nissan say my current bill is sitting around R25000. Im am extremely off put by the Nissan product or perhaps by the dealerships work quality. My point is that at 90000km service they say they changed the idle tensioner pulley, so clearly the bolt was over tightened or is of inferior quality. Now i have to fit the mammoth bill for being a loyal customer to Nissan? And What afterward, when will the next item 'snap'. The bolt lasted up to 90000km, but thereafter snaps after 35000km?
