I recently sent my car down to nissan dealership in gateway, it was sent in for a simple idle re-learn procedure.the procedure is performed by software developed to work on all of nissan products.the technician that intially worked on vehicle did not know how to perform procedure, so the idle was set by retarding timing using nissan consult software.i took vehicle back the following day, the service advisor apologised and assured that he would get it done correctly second time. the vehicle to date has still same issue, the dealerships auto electrician insisted that an idle stepper motor was damaged, i replaced component and problem still not solved.the technicians that wrked on the car were incompetent in that they were carrying out procedures that were deterimental to car in an attempt to fix it.i must say that the dealership needs to get competent knowledgable technicians to work on patrons vehicles.i would recomend that vehicles be taken to other dealerships with compotent technicians to have them servced let alone repaired.
