On Friday, 12/7/13, my dad went to refill at this station and paid by debit card. First attempt failed and second attempt was successful.
At 15H30, he received 2 confirmations of 2 different transactions. a) 11H30 for R400.02 b) 11H33 for R400.04.
He went back to Caltex to query and was told the lady that had attended to him had already left. He asked to speak to the manager. He explained to Nomsa (manager) what had happened and she "checked the day's vouchers" and dismissively said only transaction went through and there was nothing she could do. My dad showed her the two confirmations he had received, to which he was told the 2nd would be reversed.
At that, 3 decided to join in the fun. My dad told them that he only needed to speak to the manager and they INSISTED they WERE "management". One coloured arrogantly assured my father that he WILL NOT be getting his money back. My father then asked for their head office number and was given 0861114777 which when called, is Connectnet's call centre. It's well over 72hrs and no reversal in sight. Caltex's real management NEEDS to deal with this matter as urgently as yesterday!
I'll be expecting their call TODAY...
