Cam Belt Replacement

Cars & Transport

In October 2012 I had my Fiats cambelt replaced at Chadwicks Bosch by Olifantsfontein Road. Subsequently three weeks back I heard an indicative knocking noise in the engine, where I took it to Bosch Talledega nights in silver lakes and mech spec auto in midrand for them to guide me what to do, they noted I should return it to the cam belt installers. I took my vehicle back to chadwicks on Tuesday 25th June 2013, where they informed me during the course of the day that a tensioner had collapsed. It took up until 3rd July 2013 to get my vehicle back after waiting at the service center up until 7:00pm. I constantly called for updates as I did not receive feedback, apparently the parts were the issue. From there I have been driving with the vehicle and it doesn't feel right. I booked to take it in to another Bosch for a check up but I don't have R600 spare now as I had to pay R2700 for the new cambelt kit. I would like to know what the issue was, Chadwicks are hopefully returning the failed part to the supplier, but I am out of pocket, could it have been poor workmanship? Now I am left to struggle. Bosch please help and advise.
