I have been a client of Avis for many years across every single country I have visited.
Today I have returned the long term car hire I've had for almost 11 months, when bringing back the vehicle; going through the inspection I see him inspecting the under carriage of the vehicle and Avis staff to show me scratches below the front bumper which is never the less almost not visible but most importantly is under the bumper, at no time can I confirm or denied that on delivery of the vehicle it was or was not there as I informed the staff in a courteous and polite manner (I have pictures taken from front of the vehicle that shows it is impossible to see them unless you down to see under the vehicle, he then went on to tell me that I will also be charged for the cleaning of the vehicle, which was in a normal state of cleanliness for a vehicle last cleaned a week ago. I was surprised by the early delivery of my brand new car and did not have the opportunity to clean it prior bringing it to the Avis Rivonia which closes at 17h30.
