"These Things Happen"

As the Headline states, was the excuse that I had received from the Manager of the Used car sales at Land Rover when they had sold the car that I had signed for just the previous day. It all started when an add popped up on Gumtree for the specific type of vehicle that I was interested in. Called the second i saw the add, and made arrangements to meet the sales guy (Sbu) asap. This was on the 08/06/13 (Saturday). Went in, looked at the car, loved it, the Manager (Peter) did the evaluation on my trade-in, was promised that i would have first preference for the car, and signed the quotation, as well as an electronic document for the evaluation of my trade in. I was happy, and was promised a call early Monday morning (10/06/13) to let me know about the eval and to conclude the deal. Up to this day i have not received a call from Sbu. I called on Monday afternoon to query, and Sbu was very vague saying there had been some mix up, and will call me early the next day which never happen. When i called on the 11th i was informed that the car had been sold and got the excuse from Peter. He also promised to call me during the week, which never happen. Still awaiting the Call
