I returned a vehicle that I was renting on the 11 May 2013 to the Hatfield Europcar branch. Inspection was done and everything was fine (I even presented them with the slip for Petrol that I filled up with at the nearest station and still queried the petrol consumption of the vehicle as I filled up with 40L whilst only travelling 405Km - this for a 1400 VW polo!!!)

I was assured by them that I would receive my deposit (R750) back by the Wednesday (15 May). On Monday 20 May I still had not received my refund on my deposit. Phoned the customer service and was informed that according to the system there are no monies due to me due to a "billing error". Logged a complaint. On Wednesday morning I phoned again and was informed that the payment has been processed and would be made that same day. It is now Friday and guess what NO PAYMENT! The only "billing error" is the error in refunding my deposit. I this REALLY how Europcar does their bussiness? I am just happy that there are quite a few other rental agencies whom I am sure whould appreciate to receive me a a customer in future.

I insist that my deposit is paid back TODAY
