Worst service from BMW Zambesi - unacceptable!

My car is in the repair shop for 5 weeks already and they haven't even started yet. Every time i follow up they've got a new excuse for why they haven't started yet. And Friday they refused to give any commitment at all. I phoned the customer care today and they couldn't' assist me, said that BMW should call me themselves. Should they have a right to be in charge if the decision of when my car gets repaired wile i am left stranded without a car. They promised me a Courtesy car but i am stranded without a car for a week already. i had a rental car for a month. Unacceptable service from BMW i feel like taking my business elsewhere and i will recommend to others to do the same. We were big BMW fans but this all changed.
