Brand new vehicle in for fixing more than at home

I purchased a brand new Mahindra XUV 500 from a branch of Mahindra. The vehicle was great and the service great, until I found an oil leak in my new car. I sent it in to be fixed only to hear that the seals in the gearbox were not sealed properly and thus the car has been leaking oil around the gear box. This was not the problem, it was then told to me that the car would take a week or two to be fixed. Not a big job just very labour intensive. That I can't believe. I myself have taken out a gearbox and replaced it in 2 days. So I called the head office to complain. I have not heard from Yolanda or anyone else in a week. They also have no-one else who can assist me at Mahindra South Africa in terms of this problem. This is the 2nd vehicle that I have purchased from Mahindra and it seems that this was my problem! My fault totally as I am back to the complaints with them with no possible solution to the problem and no new car - is there not a consumer act promise around this issue. I cannot be driving a new car that has been in the workshop longer than it has been in my own garage??
