My husband and I took our car for service on the 10th of May 2013 at VW Thompson motors in Makhado, Limpopo Province. we took it for a 90 000km service and paid R3460. we got there at 5:45 in the morning and only got a call at 16:00 that two parts to be replaced were not in stock, we paid a further deposit of R500 for parts to be fitted and waited a whole week for the call to bring the car in. on the 16th i called them to follow up and the technician, Donovan, was very rude and told me they cannot make parts just for me and what must he do if parts are not there. this is after he doesnt call the whole week and he put the car through a diagnostic programme at service and could not pick up problems in the car, at the service centre after service the car would not start. then he says he cannot put in the part that is available the next day, I told him it was taking too long and we come from far, rather give us the available part and we shop elsewhere, the part was billed for R500 cause that was our deposit, total ripp off & then when I complained to the service manager he was very rude and took Donovans side, they proceeded to talk in afrikaans while I stood there. they are heartless.
