During April 2013 I bought a Fortuner, second handfrom McCarthy Call a Car in Bloemfontein. Vehicle was sold with a "full service history" and was to be delivered at my Dad, his car broke in the middle of the Karoo. I dealt with Dawie of Bloemfontein Branch. On day of inspection the car did not have the vehicle manual/service booklet. Dawie told me that he would obtain the same and deliver it with the car. On 15 May 2013 I serviced the car at MacCarthy Hatfield PTA. The booklet was not in the cubby hole. There was only a manual for a Hilux. I called Toyota who are able to trace the service of vehicle until the service plan expired at 100 000 and another service at 165 000. The service record in between is missing. How does McCarthy intend to proof the full service history? I also requested Dawie to provide met with a written document in terms of the new Consumer Protection Act that will indicate to me what the 30day warranty of McCarthy from date of sale covers. He insists that there is no such document to give to me! I tried to call McCarthy call a car head Offices today to obtain a seniors number but the only nr available is for road side assitance, they are unreachable
