Autoquip
Playing Pontius Pilates

Cars & Transport

Monday 29th April 2013 my wife took our vehicle to have a different set of alloys fitted, and wheel balancing / alignment done. Due to them being busy they offered to drop the vehicle at our house later the day.

The vehicle was dropped at our house, and when I returned from work I walked around, found one of the four center caps missing, one broken, but still fitted and two in good order. My wife phoned Bono, and they apologized, and asked we bring the cap in. She took the cap to them on Friday 3 May 2013, and Bono promised to sort the situation out.

Following up today, my wife was told by Pieter that all four caps were broken and glued and hence they can't except responsibility. Needless to say this is not the truth, but since they threw away one of the "broken caps" and have the other cracked center cap, I have nothing to prove for it.

It's a pity they're now playing the proverbial Pontius Pilates in this matter as we have bought two of those booklets with multiple alignment / balances / puncture repairs in them, and I won't let AutoQuip touch a vehicle of mine again. Replacing the caps would have been much cheaper than replacing a customer.
