Delayed delivery of ordered vehicle

In Nov '12 I visited Audi Bloemfontein in order to purchase an Audi A3. The lady who helped me suggested that I wait for 2013 for the launch of the new model. I agreed and visited the dealer again in Jan 2013. At that stage the involved lady had resigned, and a new sales person helped me. He assured me that he would order the vehicle according to my specifications. He indicated that the vehicle would probably be available in May 2013. On 30 April 2013, he phoned me to inform me that he had resigned, but that the new sales person would keep me up to date. 10 days later I had not yet heard anything from them. I contacted them myself, since the arrangements to sell my current vehicle privately were being finalized. The new lady told me that she didn't know about me, but would find out and get back to me. She phoned me a little later and told me that she had found my file, apparently the status of the order was still "Open order", which means that the the factory has not even started to build the car yet. She offered a similar vehicle on the floor which was unfortunately not according to my specifications. She could not indicate when the ordered car would eventually be available.
