And new car that is giving me problems

I bought a brand new car in December 2012. The car is not even 6 months old and already there is a problem. The EPC light keeps going on and the car looses power. I took it 2 the dealership and they checked it out n told me that it needs some new valve. They said they would order it and call me in three to four working days. Its been about 2 weeks now and when I called them they said they r gonna call Germany n get back to me the same day, its been over a week. The same day I fetched the car from service it just switched off while I was driving. It did the same thing today. I bought a brand new car because I didn't want such hassles. I am a woman, what happens if I get stuck at the wrong place n time? I will not use public transport and I need my car. I need this mess to get sorted out ASAP, I don't think it should be my problem if a brand new car comes with a problem! They were quick in selling me a car but when it needs to be fixed people are dragging their feet.
