Incorrect settlement discount calculated

I have been driving Ford for the last 15 years and purchased 6 new Fords in the last 7 years but will never drive a Ford again!!

In April I went to N1 Barloworld and wanted to trade in my Focus ST for a possible other new vehicle.

As with any other trade inn's, a settlement must be obtained from the bank to calculate if the trade in can be accepted or if there will be a cash pay in on the trade in for the sale of the new vehicle.

The sales man obtained the settlement amount, but out of inexperience, did not realise that the settlement falls outside the National credit act (NCA) and that the settlement included an extra 3 months interest. But this interest falls away once you trade the car in for a new car. Sales man did not know this.

In the end my settlement was overpriced with between R12000-R15000.

My Settlement is higher than the trade in and I told Barloworld that I will pay in the cash difference, they must just tell me how much they need. The new car was on special and a R30 000 discount was given which would helped with the trade in.

But because the sales man got the settlement wrong, I was not even notified if they wanted to do the sale. Till today I am still waiting
