In January I bought a used car that had passed the illustrious AA101 report at Dekra Centurion with a 100% pass. When I got home I looked under the car, the whole chassis was caked with a thick layer of gearbox oil and the gearbox was leaking. So much for peace of mind! I returned the vehicle and lodged a complaint with Dekra and the AA. Well! After a month of no feedback I was told that the case had been resolved as the car had been repaired! When I insisted on a written response it differed completely from what I had been told on the phone. I then insisted on speaking to the COO when my emails and call went answered. I then again get an email from the COO that differs from what was said on the phone (seems a company wide problem!) and find out that a technical inspection was done 6 weeks after my complaint and surprise, surprise, the car is no longer in that condition - and that is the end of it! Very suspicious guys and shocking customer complaint handling. You promise "peace of mind" to buyers in your marketing and have completely failed to deliver in this case.By the way readers - don't bother complaining to the AA either - simply not interested...
