Unable to keep to agreed conditions

I had found a car that i wanted to buy from a private seller that he was selling for 80000. This guy was looking at getting a new car from the Pine Cars dealership so he said that they would be able to organise finance for the car. The price they had initially qouted would have come to about R1960 per month for 72 months and i asked them to revise thier price and they did and this was what we had agreed on. The updated price was now about R1600 a month for 72 months. The guy that was going to buy a car from them has now decided that he no longer wants to purchase his car from this dearship and will now buy it somewhere else but his old car which i was selling is still up for sale. The dealer now says that since this guy is no longer buying a car from them they will have to change the price back to the R1960 that they had originally qouted since they are no longer getting the other car sale, it was never stated in the agreement that the drop in price was reliant on the sale of the other car. I now want to cancel this deal since this is not what we had agreed upon and i am now told that i will have to incur a R3000 cancellation charge.
