Had insurance claim to replace watch. Agreed on a watch with larry in emanuel jewelers in sandton. When insurance paid out they said that the price hadn't included vat that I would need to pay additional 14%. Told them no, refund money, they said they will not give me refund unless I take watch took cheapest in range they said they would eft me the difference in afternoon, afternoon passed they said that they are doing me a favour and I must wait and put the phone down. Went to shop the following day and told them to take their watch back and refund me the entire amount, they only refunded the difference and told me no way to the watch that we had an agreement and that they did me a favour again. The owner rowland kopel (who works at hollard insurance himself and owns world time machine, cresta jewelers, two others and emanuel. Conflict of interest?) refused to speak to me and told his worker larry not to issue receipt or take watch, that it was sold. Know who you are dealing with, they wait till the insurance has paid then change their prices and then force you to buy what they want or threaten to keep the money, coercion at its best
