Quality of food and hygiene in general

My wife and I ordered 2 half chicken and chips on Saturday evening the 20th. The restaurant was not particularly busy at the the time and we did not have to wait as long as we usually waited other times. The chicken was not properly cooked and the rolls which we ordered separately was stale. Half way into the chicken pieces you could see the red from the raw parts that was still uncooked. The waiter who served us never came back to us to check that everything was ok and I couldn't find anyone to flag down before we left. On the other occasions when we do eat at the OR Tambo branch I usually have to ask a waiter to clear and wipe down the table as dirty tables seem to just be left for a unacceptable period of time while staff just pass the table ignoring that it needs to be cleaned. When they do 'clean' it the rag they use looks quite dirty. At one time I even demonstrated to the 'manager' that the table was far from clean after it was wiped down. The paper towel I showed her was black after quickly wiping it on the table. Hygiene was always a concern for me at that branch, but I remained a patron because generally
the food was very good. it seems now I would think twice.
