Rawdons Hotel
Very dissapointed with Service

A group of over 20 of us booked in at Rawdons for the night, explaining to them months in advance that it was for an Irish wedding, and expected them to plan accordingly. When we arrived the receptionist was curt but efficient, and when having lunches the waitress avoided all eye contact until we went directly to the kitchen to place an order.

But what was most dissapointing was the fact that they only had one ale out of 4 on on draft, and then proceeded to run out of ALL bottled beer by about 5 in the evening, and when we compained the barman advised that we should "just drink spirits." I am aware that our party are big drinkers, but surely someone must have been able to stock up with all the notice they were given.

We also had a unfortunate incident at dinner where one guest asked a waitress for a glass of water and was told that he could go and get one himself from the bar.

The rooms were all spectacular, and the manager and barmen were all very helpful, but sadly everyone in our party agreed that we were given the impression by the rest of the staff that serving us was quite an inconvenience.
