La Campagnola
Poor quality food

I took my company for a lunch at La Campagnola on Friday 15 March. I, in my personal capacity, have frequented this restaurant fairly often in the passed and although the ambience is great and the service generally good I have always come away disappointed that the food didn't live up to expectation. Friday was no exception and although I did not want to create any embarrssment in front of our employees I feel I owe it to the restaurant to let them know that there is a problem to attend to. The steak was generally overcooked and also inconsistently cooked (a fillet ordered blue was cooked more than one ordered medium rare), the smoked salmon in phyllo appeared to have been made from all the week's leftover salmon, etc. It is a great pity that the food detracted from an otherwise pleasant afternoon - the 20 or so people at our table unfortunately left with a poor impression of the restaurant and I would presume that those are 20 families who won't be future customers.
