Ocean Basket
Shocking and Appalling Treatment

On Sun 08 December 2013, I was excited to see an Ocean Basket Sea Point directly across from the hotel I checked into. I usually go to Waterfront. Well, firstly, the waitress proceeded to bring me a slice of brown bread and the tourists across from me bread rolls? I asked her to remove bread. I ordered sushi rather as a starter. Secondly, when the waitress brought my Platter for 1, there was rice and chips and I didn't order rice. I indicated this to her and she then brought a fork and side plate and proceeded to scoop the rice off my platter. I was aghast and asked her why she simply didn't take the platter and bring it back with chips. No, she says, she has to take only the rice to prove to the chef that it needed to be replaced with chips. Of course, you can imagine the mess she made rice lying all over the table. The supervisor saw the commotion and came over and I explained I didn't order rice. Of course by this time I had completed lost my appetite even though he offered a clean plate of chips. When it came I carefully removed my seafood from the platter and asked for a doggie bag. This all happened whilst the tourists and rest of people were watching and waiting. Disgusting!
